So often we feel unsuccessful in our prayer life. Yet prayer is not like winning the lottery, a one in a million chance on a positive answer. “Why? Why not?” These are the age-old questions that we bring to God. It seems we are a faithless generation.

Pastor Mike Patz continues our series on prayer, opening Mark 9:14-29. Jesus asked the people, “Oh faithless generation, where is your faith?”

Faith is not positivity; it’s focus on Jesus and His promises when circumstances argue otherwise. Don’t just fake it. Focus on His promises! When doubts come, learn to pray, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!” Set yourself to pray and seek God, and watch your faith grow as He comes through for you. Prayer and fasting activate faith, and restore our focus on Jesus. His words are the triggers that wake up our faith.
