Known for Love
“I will show you a more excellent way.” People are known for a lot of different things. Success, intelligence, style, political views, talent, for what they oppose or who they expose… Some churches are known for their music, their preaching, their theology. What are we known for?
The new command that Jesus gave is that we would be known for loving one another. As Pastor Mike Patz concludes our series, The More Excellent Way, we are learning how to do relationships the right way, looking at 1 Corinthians 13.
Make love your aim! Pursue love, and love one another as God loves. For they will know we are His disciples by our love. The way of love happens as we become more like Jesus. Pause before you react, connect before you correct, build wherever you can. Keep growing in love! The true measure of maturity is love.
