Gainesville

Welcome to University Campus

We are a multi-generational campus with a vision and hope to be a church that models the diversity, love, and unity of God’s kingdom. We are praying that many new students, UF faculty, and families in the area would become a part of this new campus.

Join us every Sunday Night for a live worship experience and on-site preaching from our Senior Pastor, Mike Patz.

Frequently
Asked questions

We are the same body of Christ no matter where we come together, but everyone of our locations has different accommodations. Please read some our most frequently asked questions for our Gainesville Hub campus.

Still have some questions?

If you still have questions or something is unclear, please reach out to us and we’ll be happy to help with whatever you need!

Each service is typically 80-90 minutes, and has a time of worship, Bible-based preaching, announcements, and an offering, but not always in that order!

Most of us wear casual clothes, but some people like to dress up. We’d like to think you will be as comfortable in a T-shirt and jeans as you would be in a business suit.

A member of our parking team will help you find a spot to park as you enter our property. Please let them know if you are a senior citizen, have kids, or need special parking.

Greenhouse
They walk with us in the valley, while fighting for us in the prayer room, and are there to celebrate with us on the mountaintops, all while praising Jesus our source. These are our people. Wayne & Ingrid Carney

Angel Avalos

COMMUNITY CARE COORDINATOR

Angel was born in San Jose, California, and grew up in Jacksonville, Florida where he met Jesus in his late teen years. Angel began attending Greenhouse when he came to Gainesville to study biology and medicine at the University of Florida, however, after participating in the church’s summer internship, the trajectory of his life changed- “I learned what it mean to seek God and to hear his voice, and the direction of my life shifted from medicine to ministry.” Because college was such a turning point in his own life, Angel is passionate about helping college students discover their purpose and dedicate their lives to fulfilling the call God has for them. Half of his time on the Greenhouse staff is spent leading Hospitality and volunteers for our University Campus, while the other half of his time he leads and preaches at our Grace Marketplace ministry where we work to restore those suffering from homelessness. In his free time, Angel enjoys video games, skim boarding, martial arts, heist and superhero movies, being with friends, and trying new restaurants. “Oh, and I was in a fraternity in college, so I really like bow ties.”
