Love is not a Feeling
Martin Luther King said this about love, “Love is not emotional bosh…. not some sentimental or even some affectionate emotion. I am talking about something much deeper.” Most of us have never learned what love really is.
Pastor Mike Patz begins a new series, The More Excellent Way. We’ll be learning how to do relationships the right way.
Statistics tell us that 35% of the people living in families still feel alone. We struggle with love, yet if we get relationships right, we’ll get love right. Love is not a feeling. It’s much deeper than that. Love is not a feeling we fall into, it’s a way we’re formed into. The way of love is selfless, the way of love is slow.
If we could all get good at living out 1 Corinthians 13, our world would be a much better place. The descriptors of love in this chapter are of Jesus. We can love, because God first loved us through His Son.
