It’s Not Mine, but It’s in My Hands

Mike Patz May 19, 2025

At Greenhouse, we help ordinary people become passionate followers of Jesus Christ. And all that Jesus began, we continue- because it didn’t just happen, it happens. As Pastor Mike Patz continues our Reorient series, we look at Acts 4:32-37. In the Book of Acts Curch, no one claimed anything they had was their own.

There is a huge gap: the Acts disciples lived like stewards– free. So many in the church today live like owners– enslaved.

Christians say they are stewards but act like owners, over our time, talents, and treasures. Ownership thinking is really a form of idolatry- treating created things as ultimate things. We grasp for control – and it always backfires. Anxiety. Fear. Bondage. Restlessness.

Stewardship means it’s not mine, but it’s in my hands. How do You want me to use what You have entrusted to me? When we live like stewards we will know peace, purpose, power- and one day an eternal reward.
