In the final sermon in the Restoration series, Pastor Mike Patz asks, “knowing you are pardoned is a wonderful thing, but has it changed the way you live?” Before Jesus begins his earthly ministry (performance), God confirms His Sonship (identity), in Luke 3:21-22. God is not looking for slaves. He is looking for sons and daughters to love, wanting to restore sonship. Root your identity upward rather than inward, and make your primary role His son, before you are anything else.
