God doesn’t want your money! Pastor Mike Patz continues the series, Malichi: More Than Religion, a journey through the final book of the Old Testament. It challenges our drift toward religious performance and calls us back to covenant love!
In Malachi 3:6-12 we see, “I the Lord do not change!” He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.. It’s often very confusing to reconcile the Old Testament’s laws with New Testament grace. We read, the tithe belongs to God, and a tithe is the first fruit of your income. The giving of the tithe tends to align your heart with the heart of God.
We are not under the law, but we are not above God’s ways. God must come first with our worship, with joy, and with justice. When we give our first fruits to God, everything else will be blessed! So, use your money to move your heart.
