2021 Deacon Voting | Greenhouse Church

Mabel Cardec was born and raised in Puerto Rico where she gave her life to Jesus at the age of 22. She’s passionate about missions, diversity and cultural inclusion. She currently serves as the Coordinator for the Translations Ministry at Greenhouse. She has led various Microchurches throughout the years, served in Breakthrough, and volunteered in the tech booth at the church’s old main campus. She works as Communications Manager at the UF International Center. Mabel holds a B.A. in Public Communications (UPR), an M. Ed. in Education (FAU), and an M.A. in Spanish (UF). She and her family have been members of Greenhouse since 2006. She is married to Angel Cardec for 31 years (and counting!) and has two amazing adult children: Jacob (married to Cynthia) and Melody, as well as a wonderful grandson, Isaiah.

Eric has been going to Greenhouse Church since 2004 when he was a student at the University of Florida. He met his wife Rachel at Greenhouse, they have been married for almost 14 years, and have 3 children. They currently lead a microchurch for young families together, and they help in an organization that partners with schools, students, and pastors in Africa for education and discipleship.  Eric was raised Jewish and had his Bar Mitzvah in Israel before converting to Christianity as a teenager.  He is a real estate broker in Gainesville, and loves chess, golf, and the Gators!

John and his wife Anita have been members of this church since 1992 and are so grateful for this community of faith and how the church body has poured into their lives. Over the years, they have lead a married couples Microchurch, and college student small groups. John has been a deacon in previous years and has seen tremendous growth in this church. He is excited about the Greenhouse Hub and to see all that the Lord has in store for this Faith Family! John and Anita have four beautiful children; Erik, Sarah, Caroline, and Zachariah, and a grandson; Samuel.

They walk with us in the valley, while fighting for us in the prayer room, and are there to celebrate with us on the mountaintops, all while praising Jesus our source. These are our people. Wayne & Ingrid Carney
