Jason Mitchell

Jason Mitchell

Born and raised in Jacksonville, FL as the eldest of six siblings, Jason grew up in a relatively religious, working class, single-parent home. It wasn't until his junior year of high school that he came to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Life was no longer meaningless, nor without purpose. Over the course of his walk with God, Jason has seen God prove Himself to be so faithful in countless ways.

He originally came to Gainesville to finish his undergraduate education as a Family, Youth and Community Science major. In lieu of accomplishing that, the Lord directed his steps to Greenhouse Church. The leadership and community at Greenhouse has truly better defined and enhanced his walk as a disciple of Christ.

Jason feels that over the years, this community has served as a safe place to identify, clarify and move into the purpose and callings of God on his life.  Jason strives to be grounded in the more excellent way - love, and at the end of the day his greatest honor is to be his Father's son. "May He be so pleased in me."
